The goal of REALIA is to emphasize the role of Philosophy in its service to humanity
by investigating various problem areas and presenting rational responses to these.
We are aware that we exist in a web of relationships which connect us to the natural
and human worlds and we know that our world is certainly not perfect.  We will be
looking for papers which explore the nature of present relationships and propose
the creation of new or modified modes of relation which will contribute to the
flourishing of our world.

Possibilities to be explored may be drawn from, but are not limited to, the
Following:

  •        Relations between persons including intersubjectivity, gender and
     racial issues.
  •        Relations of humans to the natural environment
  •        Relations between the individual and the community
  •        Relations between the human person and the Divine
  •        Relations between humans and other intelligent forms:  animals or
     computers
  •        Relations between Philosophy and the Natural Sciences, including
     Medicine and Psychology
  •        Relations between Philosophy and Literature
  •        Relations between Asian and Western Philosophy
